Hello!
My name is Alin Lazaro-Ortiz. I am currently a senior studying Human Development and Family Sciences. I love to learn new things to help others and I also believe in passing down my knowledge to other students that might feel stuck in life and academics.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Hillsboro Oregon and raised in Cornelius/Forest Grove. I am an only child and come from a single parent household. My mother is from Mexico and came to the US at the age of 18. I have learned a lot from her and gotten the skills need to be successful. I have a strong work ethic, persistence, and a committed person. These skills allowed me to graduate with a Honors Diploma from Forest Grove High School. Since my commitment to education is really strong I continued with my education and attended Oregon State University.
Hobbies
I love to cook and try to make new dishes.
I am also passionate about art and like to try new ways of painting or trying different projects.
Something else that I like to do is to spend time with friends.
Playing mind games is also another of my favorite activities to do.
Goals
I want to help students from first generation, different ethnic backgrounds and low income students to be successful, by attending college and graduating. As for me, personally I want to be happy with myself, knowing that I gave back to my community and family. As well has building a family of myself.
